She is very excited to be getting back on her trail. We are also meeting some local businesses during the week to collect prize donations for Gracie's Easter Raffle. Egg-citing times! We had to change our plans at the last minute, and so Gracie visited Greg Rutherford's post box in Milton Keynes this morning en-route to Bicester. Gracie's dad and brother, Oliver, also joined us today in Wallington before they headed back to London and we went on to Cheam. We have just been informed that Gracie and her Gold Post Box Challenge has won another award...this time it's the Telford Tommy Award for her fundraising. Thank you to Gracie's school for nominating her and supporting her #superstar 24th February: Gracie is having loads of fun on her trail of 118 sparkly gold post boxes in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Sark (Nr Guernsey). She has travelled approx 6000 miles visiting 81 so far, met some of her Olympic and Paralympic heroes and raised over £1000 for HOPE HOUSE CHILDREN'S Hospice and GET KIDS GOING. Wowzers! X 26th March: Today was outfit shopping day. Gracie is now all ready for Friday's Signal 107FM Little Star Award ceremony in Wolverhampton. She has a beautiful new sparkly dress, shoes and accessories, so do I (her mum) and her stepdad has a new bow tie....all in co-ordinating gold! X 29th March: Thank you to everyone who sent messages to Gracie last night on her huge achievement on winning The Signal 107FM Little Star Inspiration Award. She had an amazing night mixing with Signal 107FM celebs and event sponsors, enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal, watched Blue perform some of their hits and even enjoyed a dance with Simon Webbe before she hit the dance floor with the other guests. It was a fantastic night and Gracie is honoured to have won this award, along with her other 3 awards for her fundraising. As she said last night... it's amazing, I just wanted to see a gold post box #superstar 30th March: Next weekend see's Gracie back on her trail and venturing South to visit Sophie Christiansen's 3 Gold Post Boxes in Fulmer, Egham and Sunningdale and Natasha Baker's 2 Gold Post Boxes in Uxbridge and Cowley. Auntie Jane is joining us again for the trail which will see Gracie's tally rise to 86 Gold Post Boxes, leaving just 32 left to do! Then it's just 2 weeks until Scotland and it's 13 glittery post boxes x 6th April: Lovely day spent with Auntie Jane who joined Gracie on her trail and took her to 5 more sparkly gold post boxes! Great time had yesterday on Lowestoft beach and promenade - sunny but very windy! Despite this Gracie managed another ice cream and game of crazy golf whilst searching for the post box "vandalised" and painted bronze by locals in honour of Olympic Boxer, Anthony Ogogo. Weirdly, no one sems to know it's there, and those that do think it's a disgrace! Oh well, Gracie loves it and has added it to her challenge xxx 17th May: Gracie is back on her trail tomorrow heading north to Leeds, Sheffield, Halifax and Huddersfield and added 7 more gold post boxes to her tally. The trail led us easily to Londonderry/Derry, then on to Glengormley where no one knew there was a gold post box (even the ladies working in the Post Office!!). We eventually found it (after driving past it several times) and then it was a race against the clock and a battle through Belfast's rush hour to get to Seaforde and back before the time ran out on our hire car! (Then I missed the turn into Titanic Quarter due to a cyclist pulling out and stopping in the middle of the road so did a lap of Belfast City Centre before getting the hire car back 30mins late!). Belfast, it's been emotional!!! 3 more gold post boxes added to the tally! Yay! 16th August: Gracie is now home (and still zzzz) after her trail took her to Isle of Man and Northern Ireland. She added 4 gold post boxes and a gold telephone box to her total making 113 visited and just 8 left, as her total has increased to 121 as Anthony Ogogo's bronze post box and Peter Kennaugh's gold telephone box have been added in to her list. Also added in is the new gold post box in Hebden which replaced the original one she had visited. Gracie, her school friend's and teachers will all be walking around our village searching for 118 gold post boxes hidden amongst the trees, having lots of fun and raising money for Gracie's school, Hope House Children's Hospice and Get Kids Going! Gracie's school are fundraising for her challenge. On 24th January the children and staff will walk either a 1 or 2 mile route around the village looking for 118 Gold Post Boxes hidden in the trees. All money raised will be divided between Gracie's challenge and school funds. Gracie's share will, as usual, be split between Hope House Children's Hospice and Get Kids Going. Gracie's step-dad, Darren, and myself (Gracie's mum) have been invited to do the walk, too....but first I need to make 118 card Gold Post Boxes and 70 chocolate post boxes. Gracie is hoping to have completed her amazing challenge by the summer and has just 43 Gold Post Boxes left to visit. Her trail will take us to Scotland, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Greater London and the North of England. She has had a great time on her travels so far - visiting some lovely places, meeting one or two (!!) of our fantastic Paralympians, getting the chance to run around the Olympic Track and win an award. What a fabulous 2013.....and 2014 looks set to be even more amazing! In all the fun, though, Gracie is raising money for HOPE HOUSE CHILDREN'S HOSPICE (based in Oswestry, Shropshire, Hope House provides care and support for children with life-limiting illnesses, and their families. They continue to support some good friends of ours) and GET KIDS GOING (who provide wheelchairs and equipment to help get disabled children into sport). Please keep supporting Gracie through 2014 xx

Gracie came home from school to a couple of early Christmas presents - a Gold Wenlock Olympic Mascot, sent by a local well wisher to support her challenge, and a beautiful set of London 2012 Christmas Decorations that I bought for her from a lovely lady named Shirley. Gracie won the Parish Council's Civil Youth Award for her Gold Post Box Challenge fundraising adventure. So far, she has visited 75 Gold Post Boxes, travelled over 5000 miles and raised over £1000 for Hope House Children's Hospice and Get Kids Going! She went along on Saturday 14th December 2013 for her first session and then again the following weekend. She had a great time and will be heading back again soon. What an eventful afternoon....it all started with our friend Juliette Woolf overhearing (and joining in!) a conversation in Barnet by a young lady names Lucy, who only works in London for the PR company that thought up the idea of The Gold Post Boxes! So the PR company have been in touch....and so have The Royal Mail. I spoke to some really nice people about Gracie and her challenge and The Royal Mail are tweeting about her. Thank you xx

Well done Gracie, you did it! 15 Gold Post Boxes visited in 5 days on our big holiday trail. We made it home at 12.40am after 14 hrs on the road zigzagging around the South Coast and the beautiful New Forest to take in Sherborne, Lymington, Hamble-le-Rice, Alton, Bentworth and Larkhill/Stonehenge. Lovely memories, lots of fun had by all, especially Gracie who now has a huge collection of postcards, fridge magnets and pink stones x

8 years ago yesterday Gracie wasn't even born and me (Gracie's mum) and her dad were in the middle of the carnage of 7/7 - as an A&E nurse at The Royal London Hospital, the main trauma hospital that received the most casualities that day, and her dad, a police officer drafted into Aldgate....London had won the 2012 Olympics the day before. Yesterday, we went trailing to see more glittering gold post boxes awarded to our Olympic & Paralympic heroes and Olympian Andy Murray won Wimbledon.....Let the Legacy Live on! #NeverForgotten #London2012 xx

It's almost the weekend and that means a Gold Post Box Trail....this weekend we are off to Oxfordshire and Auntie Kate and Phoebe are coming with us. We are hoping to visit Henley on Thames, Marlow (Naomi Riches) and Maidenhead (Sophie Christianson) and possibly Oxford (Lily Van de Broeke), too if we have time. Henley will see us visiting our first unofficial tribute to our Team GB heroes in the shape of a GOLD TELEPHONE BOX in Checkendon, as well as the official Gold Post Box for GB Rowers

Gracie has signed up! Woohoo! Ever wondered what it’d be like to complete a mile in an athlete’s shoes? Pledge your Race to Rio mile now and you could win a place at Sainsbury's event at the Olympic Stadium on Friday July 26. When you pledge to complete a mile, Sainsbury's will donate £10 to the British Paralympic Association. So get active and help the next generation of Paralympians.

Saturday (8th June 2013) is Newport Carnival and Gracie will be taking part with her school and Sunday is Gold Post Box Trail day! Yay! Heading to Gloucestershire to visit 5 boxes. After lunch with Auntie Jane we plan to head to Nailsworth for Pete Reed's 2 boxes, then Ampney St Peter for Laura Bechtolsheimer's. After returning back to Stroud we will head home via Alex Gregory's Post Box in Cheltenham and Charlotte Dujardin's in Newent. That will get our tally to 21. Very excited x

Excellent day trailing 2nd June 2013 - Gracie visited 4 Gold Post Boxes today. She visited Laura Trott's 2 post boxes in Cheshunt with her dad and then went on to Stoke Mandeville (Birth place of the Paralympics) and Weston Turville to see Pam Relphs post box.

We have it on good authority that Gracie has completed Gold Post Box no. 11 - Charlotte Dujardin, Enfield and Gold Post Box No.12 at Stratford Olympic Village both with her granddad Paul this week.

London Update... Gracie has visited Gold Post Box No.12 at Stratford Olympic Village today with her Grandad Paul.

So Gracie is having a fab time in London with her dad, nan, grandad, aunties, uncles, cousins and friends, I've been planning routes and thinking up fundraising ideas...thanks to everyone who has contacted me with ideas, offers of help and to make donations, it is really appreciated and it's all for 2 great causes.
